2DS XL Blue light turns on & then off

Hi all! I recently found my old 2DSXL, and to avoid fluff when I try to turn it on the blue light turns on and then fades away. I tried charging it, still the same & That's when I realized the SD card was missing I have no CLUE where that thing is so I went & bought a new one formated to FAT32 & it's still not turning on, I know I jailbroke it ages ago and am wondering if because of that & losing that old SD is why it isn't turning on hence why I'm posting here vs the main 3DS Sub. Please any and all info or help would be highly appreciated (Just wanna play DQ8 ;-;)
