Career change

Hello currently I’m 23 and I’m a mechanic. When I was 17 my family lost all of their money and had to start over so I did the mechanic job for a while and now I’m sick of it and considering going back to school for accounting. I have questions though. What can I expect salary wise? Right now I’m making 1000-1200 per week being a mechanic. Can I expect more than this or at least the same? Also it seems like a lot of people don’t enjoy their job on this subreddit, can you elaborate?
