Refund through bank transfer

Hi all,

I have an order that is 100% messed up and the seller wants to refund me through a bank transfer instead of Alibaba (Surprisingly, they haven’t fought me at all on it). When I asked why they want to do it outside of Alibaba, they stated “Alibaba's refund process is more complicated and bank transfers are prompt and faster.”

I think this rep is more understanding because she made a big mistake in not charging for shipping for my product (~$300) and asked if I’d be willing to pay it after she realized her mistake. I did as it was the honest thing to do.

I still have a good amount of time 3+ weeks to request a refund through Alibaba as well and can also reverse charges on my credit card if need be.

I’m just wondering if anyone has any insight as to whether or not this could possibly screw me over and what to look out for, if so.

Thanks in advance!
