Best cheapest option for a single night

We are coming for the Greyboy Allstars late night show at Tip’s 4/26/25 and then NMAS the next night. I realize its Jazz fest weekend but we are just focusing on those two shows. I am super comfortable using public transit in NOLA and because we are coming 3-4 times this year, I need to keep this trip CHEAP.

Would west bank/gretna be a better option due to proximity to Tip’s? Or out by the airport? Its me and my dude. As long as its clean, we can manage slightly sketchiness
