PDA autism help

After years of medical gaslighting, misdiagnoses, useless interventions, my child was finally diagnosed with PDA type autism. She is now 9 years old. She struggles with emotional regulation and can be violent and aggressive.

We are meeting with the neurologist soon, they want her to start ABA. I’m inclined to try it just because I need help and support. But the more I’m reading it says ABA isn’t helpful for PDA autism. Any advice?

Also, please, no judgment… I’m wondering if there’s any specific medication that is helpful for this profile. Currently, my daughter takes a very low-dose of risperidone as well as concerta and when it wears off, it’s a noticeable change in her demeanor, mood, and coping abilities. She can’t take ssris which I believe would help with the anxiety part so anxiety is not being dealt with at the moment. Thanks in advance.
