My Daughter is on the spectrum and still sucks her thumb

We have been trying to work with my daughter to get her to stop sucking her thumb but she still does it. We are worried that she is getting way to many germs in her mouth and will mess up her teeth. We’ve tried to use chewys but that doesn’t work. Please help
