Updated Approval?

So I've noticed certain responses for characters like Gale and Astarion don't trigger anymore. This seems to happen after the first romance scene you get with them. Astarion's sex scene and Gale's reaching into the weave. Is this a bug with the romancing thing or is it just these two characters? Is there perhaps changed things of what gains approval and what does not?
