Year Of Sequels

Seems like Bollywood has found its success formula as, Every actor, or rather, every superstar and star, is taking the sequel train, believing the sequel formula is a safe bet.

Among the actors Ajay Devgan is the pioneer in that regard as he has as many as 7 sequels lined up for the next couple of years.

Akshay Kumar is playing it safe as well. He has 5 sequels up for releay in the forthcoming years.

Most of the previous installment of the forthcoming sequels don't organically warrant a sequel yet the Makers & Leading actors are still going ahead with these films keeping the fact in mind that the nostalgia factor would play in their favour & give them financial success.

Also, these days it's hard to make an original film which is both engaging & entertaining at the same time.

Most of the forthcoming sequels are made for cash grabs these are not films rather projects. Most of these forthcoming sequels have little to no relation to it's previous film.

Case in point Dhadak 2 has no relation to it's predecessor Dhadak. Dhadak which was a remake of Sairat it's successor Dhadak 2 is also a remake of a Tamil film Pariyerum Perumal.
