Sex reassignment surgery

Hello, I have a few questions regarding morality of srs. I'm writing from my second account, that's why it's new. Hopefully it's not a problem. I would love to hear answers to any of this questions or be sent any good resources on the topic. Let's start with the one that is probably the dumbest ;)) So... Is it okay for a Catholic to acknowledge that sex reassignment surgery can make people happier? Now, let's get to the (hopefully) less dumb ones. Should a Catholic strive to ban the practice of those surgeries or should it be left as a choice? Could it be morally acceptable in some extreme cases? If yes, what would those cases be and which procuderes would be acceptable. What is the difference between cosmetic plastic surgery and sex reassignment surgery in terms of its morality? Is it only a degree (like with plastic surgery one is only messing with the looks they were given by God, but in srs one strives to change their sex).

Have a blessed day :))
