Can I learn at 43 😬?
I am currently 43 and trying to get my 7 y/o daughter into learning music and learning an instrument. What better way than for us to do it together. She wanted to start with voice lessons cause she loves to sing, and I am totally for it, but also would like her to pick up an instrument. I have played classical guitar, French horn and trumpet when I was younger, so not a total stranger to music. I have always loved the cello but never had the opportunity to learn it. How hard is it to pick up, especially at my age. What brands are good to purchase a decent cello that are not too cheap but also not too expensive, one that will stand the test of time while bringing years of enjoyment for the both of us, if she does in fact want to learn with me in the future?
UPDATE:
Thank you all for the words of encouragement, I am definitely thinking I am going to dive in and start learning. What would you all recommend as a good starter violin outfit?
