Smoke detectors go off even when boiling noodles.
We have 3 smoke detectors, one with with CO detector. We are an India-Pakistani household where we cook a lot of high temperature items, kebabs, use pressure cooker, etc. We literally had to take them off because they would even go off while making a simple omelet, let alone kebabs and steaks. Since we live in condo, and we have inspections every 3 years, it’s required.
Those who cook a lot, and are from similar cooking style background searing, deep frying, pressure cooking, steaming, how do you stand your Kidde smoke detector?
Turn on microwave fan that’s above stove, open windows, door of balcony? Anything else, I love cooking, and unable to cook without fear of alarms going off. :((
