Does he like me back?

Ive been liking this boy secretly for quite some time. Almost 2 years i guess. We are also friends. We flirt most of the time in instagram. But i never confessed my feelings, and neither did he. His words are strong and reassuring, but actions are not. Always saying that he chose to talk to me rather than sleep, he chose to be with me than other girls in the group, and always meddling if have a relationship with someone already. He also have an endearnment for me! I dont know, he is confusing me, and i am hurting, sometimes i do feel that he likes me a lot, but sometimes not.

What can you suggest for me to do aside from confessing my feelings to him? Bcoz this is a no no for me.
