I Never Realized How Hard Crucible is Until I Played Black Ops 6
I'm a very average to below-average, old Dad Crucible player with thousands of hours in D2. Recently, I decided to try Black Ops 6 after the urging of a friend. This is the first COD game I've played since at least the Xbox 360 days and even then, I only played the campaign for a few hours. This time around, I decided to give multi-player a chance (not talking about Warzone here) and holy crap is it much more manageable than Crucible. I'm not saying it's better, it's just so much more straight forward. It really made me realize how complicated D2 PvP is and I can't imagine just jumping in as a first-time player at my age.
Not having to worry about the ability spam is one thing but the lack of verticality was something I didn't realize would make such a stark difference. We take for granted that we can just jump over a player's head in D2. I've been reading what old-school COD players are saying about the new omni-movement system in Black Ops 6 and the fact that they don't like it is crazy to me. There's just so much less to think about. I have limited experience with other FPS PvP games so I'm not sure if it's just me but am I missing something? Is D2 PvP that much harder than most other PvP shooters?
