KYC of Digital Banks - how much of a hassle?
So i opened a Netbank account some 2 weeks ago - i immediately started funding the account and reached 450k in no time (from transferring from my other accts). I also withdrew some to move to CIMB to avail of their promo and ended up with about 380k left. I received an email last week to submit a proof of income document, e.g. payslip, ITR, or an employment certificate. I said I found this too sensitive and asked if my company ID would suffice. They said yes.
Just today, I received another email asking again - I explained that I was contacted previously and they already said my company ID would suffice. They were insistent. So I pulled out my money via pesonet and went back to my old bank.
I know it's KYC for them to ask this - but I have 2 traditional banks, and 5 other digital bank accounts and none asked for employment docs like that. Am I petty for just pulling out because of the hassle?
On another note, which is better to replace my Netbank -- Tonik or Uno?
