Use another phone!

I'm still new to the Neo world, but one of the first things I noticed is how much all the phone usage with the Neo eat up my battery. Whether flying WiFi, using the phone with the RC-N3. or just transferring album videos to the phone, Neo eats my phone battery simply because I'm using it so much.

Then it dawned on me: I replaced my phone not too long ago, and I still have the previous one. So I ordered a replacement battery for the old phone, swapped it out, then removed everything from the phone except DJI Fly. Now I've got a dedicated display and controller I can use for any of my Neo needs, with no hit to my "real" phone battery, and no intrusive notifications or phone calls while I'm flying.

My old phone is an iPhone 6S, but there are lots of compatible devices out there. Even if you don't have one laying around, someone you know might. And these older phones are super cheap if you buy used.

So, maybe not the world's best idea ever, but I'm sure glad I did it. Thought I'd share in case others might want to do the same.
