1mana draw 27 cards, i did it

Just wanted to share a fun interaction that im probably never gonna resolve again. I have [[adrix and nev, twincasters]] and [[ivy gleeful spellthief]] on the board.

  • In my upkeep the rebound trigger of [[quantum misalignment]] resolves and i target adrix and copy the spell on ivy. Both spells resolve, giving me 2 ivy tokens and 2 adrix and nev tokens.
  • Now when ever i create tokens, i create 8 times as many tokens (double 3 times).
  • i resolve irenicus vile duplication on adrix and nev and copy the spell on each of my 3 ivys. For each i ivy i now create 8 token copies for a total of 24 more ivys (27 in total) and the original spell creates 8 more copies of adrix and nev for a total of 11.
  • i cast [[leap]] and copy it ok each ivy for a total of 28 copies of leap on the stack, drawing 28 cards.
  • i resolve an [[ancestral mask]] copying it on each ivy. Each of the 27 ancestral mask copy spells will create a token. And because i have 11 adrix and nevs it will create 2048 (2 ^ 11) copies of ancestral mask for each of the 27 ivys. Making each ivy roughl a 110600/110600 creature with flying.

That ivy was on some steroids xD Lesson learned: exponential functions are funny in magic. Save to say i did not see THAT kind of overkill comin when i put adrix and nev in the deck 😂😂
