Goblin Life Gain

So I was recently drafting FND with a friend and ended up putting together a deck focused on life gain and +1/+1 counters. We had a blast. When sorting my new cards into my (small) collection, I thought about making a new commander deck in that direction (nothing novel, I am aware) - of course there is always a new commander deck… 🙈 I first thought about typical colors like white/green, counters, life, blah. But as this is rather boring, and I have some old 8ED goblins (and apparently quite some goblins and I don’t usually play them), I had the idea of combining goblins and life gain but could not really find anything supporting this idea. Goblins because cheap, many, even more, often direct damage, sacrifice benefit. If that is linked with life gain, it could be fun.

Boros would be my pick obviously, and I was wondering if that is a doable thing at all. There are many potential cards giving life gain to my creatures, benefiting from life gain, utilizing direct damage etc., not sure if enough. I’m unsure about the commander. [[Winota, Joiner of Forces]] is an obvious candidate, [[Iroas, God of Victory]] maybe, [[Arabella, Abandoned Doll]] helps with life gain directly.

Does anyone have experience with this particular theme? Maybe it is a terrible idea and I should rather forget the goblins, please tell me if I’m delusional…
