Apega question for engineers

Hello good people, I graudated with a degree of chemical engineering in April 2024 from University of Alberta. I landed a job in an engineering company as a process engineer and started working in end of may. I did a 8 month internship back in University as well. However, I haven't applied for becoming a member in training with Apega until today where I submitted my application. I wonder if I am in trouble for working 8 months as an engineering firm with a permit to practice, without registered as a EIT. And whether in the future if i will be able to count this 8 months towards the Peng work experince. All of my supervisors are registered as Peng. Thank you for your answers
