Another legendary QoL change. Cerebral and Marauders groups in Poch.
Over the past 5 years, I have created about 150 new accounts where I have practiced using this booster for daily pvp activity.
It allowed me to reduce the required number of injectors by almost 2 times, as I understand very precisely which skills I need in 5 and which I can undertrain. (For those who like to search for the truth I will immediately clarify that I also used Marauder with a very high DPS at times when CCP introduced additional damage boosters and they were happy with this practice.)
The main use is a new nickname and a character that looks like a newbie. I will explain this in detail below, but now to the point.
It was quite convenient and comfortable, I was still paying 8-10kkk for the opportunity to do 5 streams on Praxis, but it was worth it.
Players in the game are evolving and naturally it started to be practiced not only by those who have problems with PvP on main characters, a lot of people who do RMT got involved in this story, and the maximum peak was PvE content in Pochven, which produced very interesting numbers on economic charts and everyone noticed it. A lot of people also noticed the huge amount of Marauders called alt1 alt2 alt3 alt4 and these groups changed each other a huge amount of times. CCP even organized sweeps, but one of the last ones banned a group of players who are NOT RMT in this game, alas they were in RMT collectives without knowing it. I have a group of acquaintances (different) left the project in this way, as their petitions are simply ignored.
Now CCP have made another great decision, to change the cerebral booster.
We've noticed a tremendous amount of change in Pochven lately. The situation is evolving very quickly and it seems CCP are trying to remove the ability to effectively use Marauders and potentially Eos-men.
30 second siege on dread, different NPCs, small final room and so on and so forth. Overall it does solve the current problem by bringing real groups of players into arenas.
But what is my fault in this situation?
My stats are pretty interesting:
On the main character using a simple ship (T1 Stabber) I get 3-4 interesting fights in 5 hours of streamings
On a new character I get 10+ interesting fights in 5 hours of stream.
And these are stats for the last 5 or more years of streaming!
The game is organized on the principle that you can get all the information about you using third-party services, it's a pity that they do not indicate the winrate, it would be even cooler! <joke
Sometimes when I fly based I get the impression that my T1 BS is a raid boss in a dungeon, as I see fleets against me that I could fight (if i will FC) in home power block systems.
I can still make characters with new nicknames after this change, but Praxis that cost me 10-15kkk will cost me 20-25kkk. Why would I want to do that? And more importantly, how did I get into this story? I may have also created RMT groups in Poch? How did new players get into this story, who thanks to this booster can afford to play comfortably on the 3-4-5 days of the game without ingame donating for injectors?
Maybe there will be alternatives in the game? Maybe a nickname change? For some reason on the Chinese server all this appeared a long time ago.
Maybe some sort of skill limit of 10 million SP to make new players feel good about themselves?
Maybe it will be impossible to get ALL information about this or that pilot, which is instantly visible in the local chat? How many kills he has, what fits he use, what his winrate is, who he is and this I'm not yet affecting the sound notification in the program when I have a neutral in the system or in a neighbouring system. How old are these services?
Considering the competition in the MMORPG market, changes that solve some problems and create others look strange.
I realise that I am a representative of a very small group of EvE players. I can't argue with anyone here.
But I will remind you that when filaments to Poch appeared in the game, CCP told to campers ‘look for another game, your gameplay is destroyed’, when marauders were very much strengthened CCP told a small groups that liked to fly simple fleets of 3-5 people ‘look for another game, you will be drop exactly 1 marauder who will press 2 buttons and you will fly on to find another pvp’ and there are many such examples.
MMORPGs can't work on a principle where you make the game very uncomfortable for some groups trying to solve the game's problems. MMORPGs, and in particular the world of EvE Online has been bringing different players together for a very long time. Everyone was comfortable with it. There were lots of small fleets, lots of solo players.
Now the whole game is 30 windows players and 7 days of free omega every major patch to create the appearance of a live game. With 5 algoses in each beacon during this time period.
I think with such changes not only CCP Aurora will go to explore other projects.
"Under my table" is a whole crypt of players from those who flew solo or smal-scale. And all of them are not playing EvE Online (while still playing other games).
I could list these nicknames for not just a long time, but a very long time.
