why did you choose family med?

Hi everyone! I'm a medical graduate applying for residency this September, and I'm currently torn between family medicine and pathology. I've had U.S. clinical experience in both and could see myself thoroughly enjoying a career in either.

What made you choose FM over other specialties? What do you love about your job, and what are the biggest challenges? If you had to do it all over again, would you still pick family med?
