I know the talk about getting a receiver is mainly Tee Higgins or Tae and I would love to have either of them but Gutekunst in a recent interview downplayed getting a true number 1 saying "Teams that have one receiver that's super heavy with targets, that doesn't usually play out well for playoffs and success there," he said. "We're looking for these guys that we have currently to take a step into that role where they are more consistent on the down-to-down basis. "If there's somebody outside of our building, whether it's the draft, free agency, that makes some sense for us, we'll certainly look to do that, but we're also looking for these guys to continue to grow and hopefully grow into that space." Now that didn’t shut down a possible free agent signings but it seems like he’s going to give these guys another season to figure it out but I think Green Bay should at least look at finding some to replace Watson for the time being because you can tell when he’s not on the field, now that being said, I know when he was in Green Bay he had a problem with drops but I think the Packers should sign MVS to a one year cheaper prove it deal to replace Watson for the upcoming season. Now I would love to see the Packers being Tae back or bring in Tee but I just don’t see it happening, I think they’re going to go heavy on the pass rush and cornerback this offseason which is good because we need help there but I think MVS could be a budget Christian Watson
