My game's refusing the steam workshop mods

Hey everyone I've been having a problem with Kenshi's modding ever since it randomly crashed when I decided to boot it up one day and now all the sudden the game just absolutely refuses to take in any kinds of mods. I re-installed the game verified my files and the game still doesn't want to take the steam workshop mods. is there a fix to this? I really missed the mod that gets rid of the fly sound effect.
