What funny (but harmless) things have you tricked FOH into eating?

Was inspired by the other post about tricking newbs with made-up gadgets and tasks. As we all know, FOH will eat literally anything you put out for them. At one restaurant, we used hearts of palm in a salad (my first introduction to hearts of palm). After witnessing a few such gags and having worked there long enough to know I could get away with dumb shit, I concocted my first one. Hearts of palm battered in Italian breadcrumbs and fried, side of marinara. Busboy comes in right as they hit the window. "Are those cheese sticks?!" "Yup we made them for y'all." So fun to massively disappoint 10 starving college kids expecting gooey cheese deliciousness and getting lame-ass hearts of palm.
