Soldering Iron update?

I bought an M12 soldering iron maybe 2 years ago and recently saw one that looks like it’s updated to correct the melting plastic collar issue. I’m going to be p-ssed if that happens to mine, is there a kit available to correct the melting? Photo attached to show what looks like an updated collar. Can’t find anything online about this besides unhappy customers mad their expensive tool did itself in.
