Does mini PC work with chromebook?

Hi I'm new to this mini pc thing, but basically I'm planning to buy a Mini Pc to use with my chromebook. But I would like to know if it's possible to use my chromebook as the monitor and keyboard for my mini pc. I saw posts on windows laptops being possible to be monitors for mini pc via HTMI cable. So is this possible with a chromebook? Im using a lenovo 500e 2nd gen
