Asked off one day

I asked off for one day 2 months in advance and the family asked me why and I told them I was going on a trip. They responded with “sounds good but in the future, please try to only plan vacations on the weekend”. (I’m off Friday-Sunday) Am I overreacting for thinking I want to find a new job now? My husband and I wanted to take a week long vacation sometime this summer but now I feel like I can’t ask for that since they responded that way for just one day off! I did talk to them about it and expressed my concern but I’m still just feeling like it’s a red flag they responded that way.
