What is your opinion on AI voices?

I have a small youtube channel (127 subs) that I enjoy making videos for quite a lot but I would be lying if I said I would hapily do it if I never had a chance of monetisation in the future.

I live with two other people in my house and all 3 of us have very diffrent ane fluctuating schedules, that on its own would make recording my voice for my videos very hard.

Another problem is that it would take a lot, I already tried it and for some reason I mess up when trying to speak english for videos a lot, script or no script. I also dont have like the coolest voice in the world and have an easter european accent that would put people off.

And to be 100% real, I also dont like recording at all. I love editing and I looove writing the scripts, but the recording part I hate with a passion :(

Those are the main reasons I do use AI voices for my videos. Recently a video of mine did really well (16k views and still growing) and a few people were negative in the comments about the voice, some said my voice is very cool - but ofc its not my voice and I also stumbled upon a tik tok video were people were commenting on how they hate AI voices and will not watch videos using it.

I used an older man voice until recently but now I switched to one that sounds younger and is less known for now, the old guy voice is much more common now on yt shorts and tik toks.

Im asking you as content creators but also as viewers, what do you think of it and whats ur opinion on how it will affect the channel? What if i need to change it in the future but people already got used to it?
