Controller isn’t working?

My ps3 controller isn’t synching or something? Last time I used it was a couple of months ago and it was working perfectly fine and now it’s giving me issues for some reason. I have it connected to the usb connected to the ps3 itself and the only thing that happens is the 4 red lights just keep blinking. It’s been like this for 30 mins now, am I missing something?
