Highlighting Rev. Jesse Jackson for BHM

Martin Luther King’s acolyte, our brother rose to prominence in the 1960s as an organizer against racism. In the 70s, he began to go global and spoke out against Israel’s actions towards Palestine.

In ‘78, he visited the West Bank and met Yasser Arafat (first pic). He spoke out against US funding to Israel and compared it to US ties to South Africa. He ran for the Democratic nominee for president in 1984 and 1988 but his campaign was damaged due to the Zionist lobby (2nd pic).

Today, at 83 and suffering from Parkinson’s, he’s still active and has attended multiple pro-Palestinian protests.
