Switching to Linux, will I be fine without Windows Defender?
I want to switch to Linux. I had to boot something in Ubuntu for a little project I had, and I think I could get used to it as my everyday OS. I really like the terminal.
I’m nervous about not having Windows Defender though. Microsoft is a large corporation, with massive amounts of data and money—part of the reason why I want to switch, but it allows them to more fully develop Windows Defender. I like doing scans every so often and scanning individual files before use to ease my mind. Is there any Linux equivalent, and is the lack of Windows Defender a thing to worry about?
Any general Linux cybersecurity tips as well for someone who lived their whole life with Windows?
