Doey was forced to Kill Parents

Idk if this is obvious to anyone else, but does anyone else think that the parents of Jack in Chapter 4 were intentionally locked in a room with Doey to be killed? It feels like this was intentional considering that nobody opens the door, Doey seems obviously aggressive, and that it would make sense for Playtime co to silence them after what happened to their son.
