Advice for medical dosimetry please

Hello everyone,

I am interested in the medical dosimetry career and have been trying to find a route that would suit me. I have already researched and looked into the different programs on JRCERT; however, I am struggling to see what I should do. I want to pursue medical dosimetry, but I already have a STEM bachelor’s degree unrelated to radiation therapy. My dilemma is that I wonder if I should complete an associate program in radiation therapy and then apply to dosimetry school. However, radiation therapy is not my end goal, and I would be spending more time and resources to pursue dosimetry.

I want to complete a program in 1-2 years. Would going straight to dosimetry be a better option in my circumstance? I want to jumpstart my career and do something meaningful that I can call my job. I worked hard as an undergrad and would like to utilize my prerequisites, hence my desire to go straight to dosimetry. I already have the prerequisites but am lacking in certain areas. Can you guys please help me?
