I don't know how to say no...
So I had a new client reach out to me on Rover a month ago and she offered to discuss everything over tea at her home for the meet and greet, which I happily accepted. I was kind of nervous on how long she was expecting me to be there though because I would prefer if meet and greets stayed around 30 minutes. As i expected, it was about an hour long m&g. She gave me a lot of information about her own life, to which I kept trying direct the conversation to learning more about her dogs and their routine, but wasn't really effective lol. She told me her last sitter who stopped doing pet sitting became her best friend and she'd like to have a sitter that she knows well. She then asked me if I could come over for tea again some days after the booking is over, to which I said yes because.. I don't know how to say no lol.
Don't get me wrong, I love building bonds with clients. But I feel like she may be trying to look for that same connection she had with her last sitter that became her friend. I'm not a people-person and do this job because there's minimal face-to-face human interaction, so I don't really wish to like, hang out with them... i think she's very sweet to offer for me to come over again for tea, but this is my job and I'd like to remain professional with her.
How do I tell her no now that I've already said yes? I feel lowkey shitty for this, and I don't want to hurt her feelings and potentially lose her as a client. Any advice is super appreciated.
