The bad news you don't wanna hear
I tried posting this on /samsung but it was auto-removed. How very interesting of a coincidence.
Anyway, the post: Alright, I went and found a demo and tried testmyscreen. This demo is from T-Mobile, California
The bad: Grain/mura lines..
The okay: only found noticeable grain on the red gradient.
The caveat: these were all on max brightness. The store lighting was very very bright so I can only see with top brightness. Unfortunately that's discouraging to see mura even on the maximum brightness.
My $25 Ultra is on the way. I've been waiting for the S25s since I got my S24+ because I can't stand the display quality in low light. The only time I notice my display's quality is when I'm watching a movie which means | ALWAYS notice the display quality cause I watch movies in the dark and all the movies nowadays are so damn dark. I was hoping they had fixed it with the S25, but looks like I'm gonna have to give the S26 a try.
If my unit is defective (let's be real, this is a manufacturing defect), I will be sticking with my S24+.
With the Ultras shipping out with a dumb s-pen, the dust collector notches under the camera rings (not to mention the ugliness of them), and this mura, it's just too many SIMPLE flaws that Samsung chose to make. I dont need the fastest processor with the best Al on a phone that feels like its from 2020.
