I just couldn't get the parry timing right.

Any tips or advice for a new player? This is my first souls kind of game.

Edit: I actually manage to beat Gyoubou today in 4 hours but it wasn't clean. I'll come back to beat his ass once I maxed all skills and prostethic loadouts. Thanks guys!
