How to adjust tension

Hi all, i wonder how can i adjust my tension properly while changing colors, especially changing needles and colors at the same time. As you can see here, my work ended too tight and probably will frog this. I did basic color work before but on socks it feels a little tricky. I would love to hear your ways on this
