sonic 3 thoughts (spoiler review)

while i did really enjoy the film, i have a few issues with it.

before my criticisms, i must say the positives of the movie are peak, and just a whole lot of fun. shadows character, the robotniks, & team sonic are all done really well for the most part. the acting, especially keanu voicing shadow, is absolutely amazing, and jim KILLED it as both ivo and gerald. the action scenes are great as well, especially the super sonic vs super shadow fight scene. and i am man enough to admit i did feel myself tearing up when live and learn started playing when shadow and sonic were fighting the GUN robots.

now onto my issues with the movie. i really wished we did get more scenes with shadow, as it felt like he was a bit sidelined for the robotniks at times. and on that same issue, i had wished we got more interactions between sonic and shadow as well. the major issue i have with this movie though is the pacing of the first half of this movie. it moves way. too. fast. the tokyo fight + chao garden scene are prime examples of what i mean. so much happens in such little amount of time that we don't even get a chance to breathe about what just happened. and walters death, imo, was handled horribly. and this isn't a criticism, this is just a personal want but i do wish the fight scene between super sonic and suoer shadow was longer. by like a minute or 2 at least.

it has some issues, but it was a fun movie. the first part of it i feel could be a lot better, but the second part is absolutely amazing. overall i'd give it a 7.5/10
