Anybody feels they look worse (less feminine) with makeup?

I love makeup, but makeup doesn't love me. I love doing the contouring, highlighting, eyeshadows, but I don't look good with makeup. It makes me look harsher and older, even when professionally done. The best makeup for me is a bit of foundation and concealer, and mascara. No blush, no contouring, no lipstick. Or maybe, a full makeup 4 hours after its application. I have naturally plump lips and using lipstick makes me look vulgar. I've noticed some trans women end up looking less feminine with more makeup.
