Calling an ambulance
This concerns the payment for an ambulance in Switzerland, which I haven’t fully understood yet. Say you are at home alone and you’re having a heart attack, which you can not know for sure, since you are not a doctor. To you it might very well just be a panic attack. Do you honestly have to worry about whether to call an ambulance or not, because you might face like a 5000CHF fee? Do people wait too long to call for help because of that and die? How do the Swiss prepare their children for these situations, are they told not to immediately call for help, that might involve an ambulance in case they’d find their Granny unconscious on the floor?
