Skill issue?

So a bit of backstory: i have not been playing Thresh lately because i didn't have an adc to duoqueue with, so i decided to play jungle (mostly kindred) but i now i feel like i wanna play Thresh again, even in soloqueue with non premades. So my question is that, in my elo (sliver/ gold aka. Pisslow) i feel like even if i play perfectly and land every hook, flay every dash and peel like a challenger not letting my adc die no matter what i still lose a LOT of the time, is that just how it is or what? If anyone has any tips for soloq i'm all ears bc i'm just tired of this now.
