TM2 – Mesh Screen Trouble
Unfortunately, I dislodged the fine mesh at the bottom of the chamber and couldn’t manage to put it back in place, as it started deforming immediately. The mesh also has very sharp edges, which made it quite painful to handle. In my opinion, this is a design flaw.
It’s also disappointing that no spare mesh is included in the box. I now have to order a replacement and can’t use my TM2 until it arrives. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find an alternative mesh with fast shipping on Amazon.
Tinymight offers two different mesh sizes: one is 20mm, and the other is 18mm. However, the description doesn’t make it clear which one is correct for the TM2. My seller has an original Tinymight mesh spare part that I believe is the right one—could you confirm this?
Questions:
- Is this mesh really necessary when using capsules?
- Would it cause any issues if the capsule sat directly on the metal plate above the heater (Photo 2)?
- Any other ideas as a workaround?
