I'm a stripper that decided to join the military and now I want to secretly strip again.
I’ll start by saying that if you choose to comment, I won’t respond to anyone who is rude or unkind. That said, I’m open to answering any questions you may have.
Before it became a trending topic on TikTok, I worked as a stripper, exotic dancer, entertainer—whatever you want to call it—for six years. The money was fantastic, the job itself was fun, and the traveling was amazing. Don’t get me wrong, it was physically and mentally taxing, but I loved it. My husband supported my dancing career, but as time went on, we started talking about having kids, and we both wanted something more stable and long-term. So, I joined the military.
I’m damn good at my job—I’ve earned three promotions since joining, I work well with people, and my supervisors seem to like me. The problem is, I’m SO bored. I hate my MOS (job/rate). I feel like I’ve lost my sense of individuality.
I’m not really looking for advice here; I just needed to get this off my chest. I miss dancing. And honestly, I secretly want to do it again on the side.
Update:
For those that are assuming I've already made my mind up and I'm risking my career, this is just a confession of something I wish I could do again.
I'm not sure why some people are so passionate about being unkind, but I can't change your opinion. Thanks again to those that are being compassionate and thoughtful.
I was informed that it is my responsibility to update you all with the following if I choose to post on this thread....
Id like to reassure everyone that I am very much in love with my husband. My best friend is in an abusive narcissistic relationship. If you've ever been there or know anyone who has, you'll understand how controlling a partner like that can be. I am actively helping her seek the right divorce attorney. He has threatened her if she tries to leave. That's all I'll say on the matter.
The moment I saw how much attention this post was getting, I deleted her post out of respect for her. Prior to my friend asking for help, all I had was my own personal reddit acct and I certainly couldn't make my post on there since I am friends with other military members
