Unifi Protect - camera limits with lower resolution

If I set a 2k or 4k camera to a lower 1080p resolution, does that increase the number of cameras that a Protect server/gateway can support?

For example, the UCG-MAX supports 5 4k cameras. If I set those cameras to 2K or 1080p (not sure what is allowed in the software), does the maximum supported cameras go up to 8/15?
