What's your valorant hot takes?
Title pretty much, I'll give some of mine
The 0.3 seconds of full accuracy on neon's slide is not as bad as people make it seem.
You don't get as many smurfs as you think, and the smurfs are not depressed immortals who just wanna let their anger out in your silver games, that's a gold 3 playing with their e kitty, and that happens once per like 6 games and it's not the reason you're stuck
Not all agents have to be meta all the time. That sounds like common sense but people still complain about agents. If an agent is underpowered, buff them, if they're op, nerf, but if it's less of an underpower situation and more of a "pro play viable only" then let it be that, some agents require more synergy than others and will shine in pro play, while braindead reynas will shine in ranked, that's fine.
Watching vct won't make you a better player. It's a fun experience for some and it's nice to see people pushing the edges of the game, but that's not the same environment as ranked. 5v5 between people who train for 8 hours a day with each other and get paid a salary is not the same as your greasy handed ranked teammates who spill coca cola on the keyboard, some stuff will work there, and some stuff would work here, just like an automatic gear on your car is the objectively better (not more fun that's subjective) option for public day to day roads, on an F1/nascar race you would wanna have more control over your gears (I know a fully automatic gear is banned in f1 but it's not because it would be OP, it's because it takes away from skill)
EDIT: A few more
If you feel like you have less than a 45% to win the game, dodge. That goes for agent comps, pre game comms (how the people sound, if you hear someone wayyyyy to energetic or some cringe pick me sentences) just dodge. I used to dodge yoru instalocks, now i even dodge based on names, i just have a gut feeling that "Uchiha Madara" Jett won't get more than 3 kills on attack and will open the mic once to ask for a sheriff skin never to be heard again, i dodge that. Cases where you shouldn't dodge are 1-3rr, simply because you lose -3rr from dodging, might aswell try the game since you lose the same amount. Always dodge at 0rr, you don't derank from that.
Pro players have no personality and i genuinely wanna see more drama and fights on twitter. The pro scene is so boring, no one besides Zellsis and Boaster have a personality, they all just stfu and play the game, idk why people wanna see that, just looks like Ai vs Ai, look at old csgo players, everyone is jacked, they weren't socially awkward next to a microphone, and fortnite pros switch teams and drop each other like twice a day which makes for funny mini dramas on twitter, something to connect with the pros and choose a favorite besides TenZ or "he plays my agent". Even in VCT GC you can see the players make some skits with each other, yea the ideas for the skits are prob by riot but at least you can see some personality. Talk some trash on interviews, make it interesting, don't tell me you didn't enjoy SEN Zombs talking shit on brazil and flexing his watch then getting whacked up by a brazil team, we need stuff like that.
