How to calm yorkie down

Every time both my and my wife leave the apartment, our yorkie sugarpie (5y, F) non-stop barks until we come back and rips up her pad, usually after using it. We’ve tried calming music, we tried putting toys with her, nothing has been helping and our neighbors have been complaining. I don’t want to be evicted and I refuse to get rid of our dog, is there any tips for helping her stay calm when we leave?
