Shoutout to this amazing City from us Hyderabadis
When I made plans to visit Ahmedabad for the Concert with family on 25th I was only looking for 1 day trip and get back to home thinking No way I really have to spend 2 days after seeing those pocket burning hotel prices but when the flight tickets were so high that I had to start from 24th Jan thought we will just take a stroll through some shopping places and some heritage sites before the concert BUT I did not expect the city to be so charming beautiful and welcoming.
When I was looking at the Places to visit I was only recommended with few heritages sites and temples but glad we did the itinerary ourselves on the way from airport talking to a courteous and helpful Uber driver who suggested us some good places to visit, places to eat and shop like Law Garden, Manik Chowk etc. (Loved the ghugra there yumm) Also luckily our Hotel was right above Lala Ghaatiya Rath shop and we enjoyed different savories Ghaati, Fafda, Methi Goti Dhokla, Khandvi etc as breakfast one day, they were so tasty. Everyone were very welcoming, even the Auto wale bhaiyyas who explained the best way possible to reach the Stadium on time for the Concert. Kudos to the Amd police for handling this event flawlessly and also the Metro staff who handled 100k crowd back with such ease after the show too, I was able to get back to Hotel in Sola from stadium in just 1 hour..
I was also amazed by the sizes of the roads you guys have, no matter where we go always saw at least 70-100 feet roads with 30 feet setback well planned for Parking and 10 feet for footpath (at least in the newer part of the city ). Had some great time wit the family at Kankaria Lake, Zoo and Science City, Sabarmati Ashram. Also had time for places like Adalaj Ni Vav and Flower Show 2025 (not sure if it only happens during Jan of every year?) were mesmerizing. Enjoyed walking for 2 hours and riding Pedaloop bikes and scooters on the Riverfront side with such amazing view of Atal Bridge. We couldnt visit the Statue of Unity and Akshardham Temple due to time constraints but the whole 3 day trip was so memorable. Thank you everyone, really a great city , great food , great people.
I also wish you all some day visit Hyderabad as well and feel the same experience as we did. And yes Hindi is spoken here widely ; ) with no restrictions lol
