Need Advice: Buying a Flat in Gandhinagar vs. Ahmedabad

My wife and I both work in Gandhinagar and currently live on rent in the Sargasan area. Now, we are planning to buy a flat with a budget of around ₹1 Cr.
I am confused about whether to buy in Gandhinagar (closer to work) or in Ahmedabad (better locality and entertainment options). Here are my key concerns:
Lifestyle & Locality: I feel Ahmedabad areas like Navrangpura, Naranpura, and Paldi have better infrastructure, entertainment, and overall vibe compared to Gandhinagar.
Investment & Appreciation: I am skeptical about Gandhinagar’s property appreciation potential compared to Ahmedabad. Will Gandhinagar flats hold good long-term value?
Commute vs. Convenience: Living in Gandhinagar means a shorter commute, but living in Ahmedabad would mean a longer daily travel time. Is the trade-off worth it?
Family Opinion: My parents prefer Gandhinagar, probably for convenience and familiarity.
What do you guys suggest? Should I prioritize proximity to work or long-term investment potential? Any specific areas in Ahmedabad that balance affordability and connectivity to Gandhinagar?
