Josefina: to buy or not to buy!

Hi everyone! I am struggling with whether to expand my collection. Until a year or two ago, I only ever had Samantha. I got her as a child after wanting her for years and it really never even occurred to me that I could have more than one doll! I got her clothes and bed as gifts over a few years, read her books over and over, and looked after her so carefully that she's in excellent condition 28 years later.

Today I have three dolls aside from Sam, two from an op-shop and one from Facebook marketplace for only AUD$50. They are all Truly Me dolls, and although two of them have had "haircuts", I've really been enjoying dressing them up in Sam's clothes. I've also just about completed Samantha's collection over the last five years, and have enjoyed hunting for the missing pieces online at a good price.

I now have an opportunity to buy Josefina, her bed and two outfits for AUD$200 and although I really want her and can afford it, I'm torn!

Pros: She's adorable, she comes with her bed and shoes, her meet outfit and weaving outfit and she's a great price. I have her books and had the first two as a child, so I feel connected to the character and think I will enjoy the doll. I have space for her.

Cons: I'm definitely going to spend to add to her collection. She's retired and her items will mostly be coming from overseas and I live in Australia. The idea of owning lots of AG dolls is strange to me, and I don't want to own a lot of them (I realise 'a lot' is subjective, but having only had one for two decades it's a bit of an adjustment). I'm also feeling weirdly guilty at the idea of beginning another historical collection when Sam's is almost complete.

I suppose I'm really just looking for some advice and to process my feelings around expanding my collection. Thank you!
