Did Elon Musk really meant what he did?

Alright so forgive me for my ignorance or naivety but either im just that blind or this is a serious missunderstanding by everyone in the world, do you believe Elon really did a nazi salute? And if the answer is yes, can someone explain to me why he would be a nazi or defend that ideology?
