People who lived in Toronto during the 90s, early 2000s, would you say the homeless situation, and general downtown area has gotten significantly worse?
I’d love to hear the opinions of our “OG” Torontonians. Especially if you were a commuter back then.
Of course, with growth, problems grow but in a general sense, does it feel like the city is slowly crumbling while having a shiny exterior or has it always been this way?
When I ask my older neighbours, they say downtown was actually much worse in the 90s/2000s and it was shadier. But they do admit the homeless/drug problem got worse.
